Let me show you what resilience means.
Defense is over
Naka-isa
I was in National Bookstore-Recto when I heard them (some FEU nursing students). Actually they were talking crazy about something nung may tinanong yung babae tas hindi siya narinig. Wala lang, tumalikod nalang ako para hindi halatang nakabungisngis.
I was supposed to buy a book on management (the rich dad poor dad types) to do the review required for my Managerial Services class when I suddenly had this strange urge to float over to the "Under P200" bookshelf and look.
Anyway, in the end, I walk out of the store with a Murakami book (The Wind-up Bird Chronicle), a little something by Toni Morrison (The Dancing Mind--super short read lang but thought-provoking already) and an interesting book by Simon Woods (about wine and all) all purchased for P350 only. And I thought Booksale was a monopoly.
I borrowed a managerial book instead from the library when I got to school. Wehehe.
Hoo boy, it's gonna be a long, long vacation once I finally, eventually graduate and pass the board. A good lot of readings waiting in line for me. Pakshet.
Review classes for the board already started this week and wala lang, nakakatuwa yung reviewers. They're more energetic than all my acctg. profs combined.
I'm just happy. Biglang na-excite tuloy ako sa board exams next year haha. Which means I have to wise up na. Kelangan ko na mag-graduate!!!
Dali!!!
Laban-Bawi
During my last class for the night (business law), I volunteered to answer my prof's question and got it correct (wheee!). AND THEN, napaubo siya or something while she was explaining something while chewing gum which looked so funny napatawa kami sa likod, which was so bad for me because ako pa yung nahuli niyang nakabungisngis (wengk!) Oh dear hahaha

Aside from good luck, may joke value din pala yung mga Arowana, although of the "kababawan kind", as my thesis group suddenly discovered during one of our "pinagpinigang sabaw" moments:
"Arowanaa waait in vain for your love"
"And aroo-wanna miss a thaaang"
"Aroowana run away, but I..."
"Arooowana roock, DJ!!!"
"And aroo--wanna woorld ta see meh..."
And many more. Ganito talaga kapag bangag. Shet.

Two nights ago, I wasn't really feeling good anymore so I texted mom and pop. They waited for me after my 9pm class and brought me to Manila Adventist Hospital (where I was born, coincidentally) which was conveniently near school and nagpa-blood count ako. In the meantime, they took my temperature which registered 39.1. degrees. So I took the doc's advice of 2-3 days rest and stayed at home yesterday. But obviously pumasok na ako kanina. Kelangan eh. The good thing is my fever's relatively slight now. The bad thing is my cough's still there. Upper respiratory infection or probably plain serious cough lang.
And Ate who didn't have review classes kahapon stayed and cooked for me (I'm her official food critic on regular days). She makes the best Cilantro Fried Rice and wala na akong masabi, we're really gonna put up a resto once we're all done. Now if I can just get her to list down the recipes for all the food food she cooks hehehe. She likes to invent and re-invent recipes.
Hay. Thanks God.

Nanood ako ng mga movies habang during my recovery day.
I have to say, A League of Their Own will always be one of my favorite movies ever.
I didn't cry though, but I didn't need to cry, if you know what I mean.

The weather conditions around the world are really scaring me.
Here naman, I'm finding it weird that it's the "rain" kind of cold I'm feeling in the air and not the Christmas-y type yet. Medyo mahirap i-explain but I'll leave it that way muna.
